To say Mike Deppe wears a lot of hats would be an understatement. Retired police officer. Experienced litigator. Criminal defense and motorcycle injury attorney. Expert on con games and scams. College professor. Auctioneer. And let's not forget, husband and father.
 Mike currently practices law at the Law Offices of Michael L. Deppe & Lloyd P. Mullen, where he concentrates on motorcycle accidents and injury, as well as burn injuries, truck accidents, DWI/DUI and criminal defense.
A full plate
When he's not practicing law, Mike also teaches a college course on criminology at Indiana University, offering his students the benefit of years of firsthand experience being at the crime scene and in the courtroom. Additionally, Mike works as an auctioneer, hosting auctions throughout Indiana.
Furthermore, Mike sits on the board and serves as Media Liaison for P.A.C.C., the Professionals Against Confidence Crime, where Mike helps educate the public as well as other law enforcement agencies on criminal groups currently operating ongoing confidence schemes across the country.
Brief history
Before practicing law, Mike served as a police officer for nearly 20 years, during which time he gained an invaluable amount of experience, expertise and "street smarts" about law enforcement, accidents, DWI/DUI law, confidence crimes and scams, and much more.
In fact, while on duty, Mike suffered severe injuries from an accident scene. This ended his police career, but it inspired a new one, as a diligent litigator, criminal and DWI/DUI defense attorney (Mike holds certification as a breath test operator), and advocate for the rights of accident and burn victims as well as victims of confidence crime and scams. In short, Mike's years in law enforcement help him better serve his clients today.
